Oh! To be a Royal 08/13/2023

We had to make a schedule adjustment again today.  We postponed our planned visit to the National Museum.  We were a little late getting going, but we had a great day.  It is Sunday and on Sunday a special dish is sold universally, "Sunday Roast". We went to the Buckingham Arms restaurant near Buckingham Palace and had a great lunch.

After lunch we walked over to Buckingham Palace and waited on the time to start our tour.  Linda and Amanda went into the Palace souvenier shop, and Harry and I talked to two London police officers about the way law enforcement has changed worldwide.  We hold similar positions.

The big thing for us today was an inside tour of the Buckingham Palace.  A great tour, I would recomend this tour to anyone with an interest in British Royalty.  You need to allow about two hours.  If you are interested in history and you are interested in the Royals, this tour is for you'

Buckingham Home was built in 1703.  After a period of time and after a period of remodeling, it became the principal home of the Royal family under the reign of Queen Victoria and became known as Buckingham Palace.  It is an old house, and it  continually undergoes maintenance upgrades required for a home of this size and importance..

Tomorrow Harry and Amanda will tour the Tower of London, and Linda and I will go to Lloyds Bank and try to retreive my ATM card.  We were not allowed to take any pictures during our tour of Buckingham Palace.

View outside from the inside.
